WPC 2023
Professional Development mini-workshop and networking
Join teaching artists from across Europe, the US and Canada in this mini-workshop as we share and generate movement ideas together. This session offers a chance to refresh your practice and engage with various approaches and styles offered by Dance for PD-affiliated teaching artists around the world.
Be a Dance for PD table volunteer
Join us as a volunteer at the Dance for PD table at the 2023 World Parkinson Congress. As a volunteer, you play a crucial role as an ambassador for Dance for Parkinson's programs around the world, sharing information about the program with conference delegates and colleagues from the non-profit world. As a volunteer, you'll engage table visitors in friendly conversation, providing printed materials about the program, pointing them toward local programs, and inviting them to join our mailing list. You're welcome to bring materials from your own program as well.
Global Dance Community Mix & Mingle
Join us as we toast participants and cast members from the IAMDance project, Pamela Quinn's "Red, Yellow, Black" and Dance for PD teaching artists in this relaxed and informal mix and mingle event.
Your RSVP includes drinks, snacks and chance to meet dance lovers from around the globe. Space is limited, so please place your request today. Please note that your RSVP is a request to attend - we will contact all confirmed attendees two weeks before the event.
Dance for PD in the Renewal Room
Join David Leventhal and teaching artists from the Iberian Peninsula in this special collaborative Dance for PD community class offered in the WPC's Renewal Room. A much-anticipated feature of the WPC, the Renewal Room introduces WPC attendees to a wide range of movement and wellness offerings. This Dance for PD class promises to be a special celebration of dance styles from both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.
