Self-directed, informative, fun
You’re about to register for the Dance for PD® Introductory Online Course and accompanying Assessment. Course registration is hosted by our UK-based training partner, People Dancing: the Foundation for Community Dance, and you’ll be directed to their website when you click the button below.
Once you arrive on the People Dancing site, you’ll be able to register for the online course and assessment and complete payment through PayPal. Course fees are listed in Pounds Sterling. If you are a Dance for PD Member, you’ll be able to benefit from a reduced course fee.
Please note that matriculation for the online course takes place in two-week cycles, so please be patient as our colleagues in the UK may take up to 10 business days to follow up with specific instructions and log in information. If you have any questions about online course registration, please contact us.
Once you complete the online course, we recommend participating in a training workshop before you complete the accompanying assessment.
If you are in the Educational and Professional Enrichment Track, the assessment is optional unless you are planning to continue through the Registered Teaching Assistant track. To enroll in the course only, please click on one of the EPE options below.

FAQ
How long will the course take?
Each of the eight modules takes approximately 1 hour to complete. The post-course assessment takes 1-2 hours to complete.
How do I know if I pass the assessment?
Each assessment is marked by a qualified assessor in the UK. It can take 3-4 weeks to receive your results. A passing mark is 70%.
Do I need to wait for my result before taking a workshop?
No. If you've applied for the workshop recently, or the grading process is taking longer than usual, you are welcome to proceed with your workshop before you receive your grade.
What if I run into technical issues?
You can reach out to us any time and we'll be glad to provide support.
Is the course offered in any languages other than English?
At the moment, the course is offered in English and Simplified Chinese. We can provide annotated written modules in Spanish, French and Japanese upon request.
If I'm in the EPE track, can I do the assessment as well?
Yes! You are welcome to sign up for the Course + Assessment bundle, and you will need to do the assessment if you're interested in becoming an Registered Teaching Assistant in the future.
