Sharon Epstein is honored to be asked to join the Dance for PD faculty of the MMDG. Professionally, she is a NY State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and a dedicated Yoga Teacher. Sharon received a BA from Bard College in Theatre Arts (1985) and an MS from Hunter College in Dance Movement Therapy (1990). Over the years, Sharon has worked in hospitals, nursing homes, community centers and in private practice. Sharon currently leads Dance for PD at the New York Institute of Technology’s Parkinson’s program, at The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, and at Glen Cove Hospital. Sharon’s passion is about meeting people of all ages and abilities where they are at, and supporting them to reach their health and healing potential. Sharon lives on the North Shore of Long Island, NY.
