Mor Mendel
Teaching Artist
Mor Mendel is a Brooklyn based performance artist choreographer and educator. Born in Pittsburgh, USA, at the age of two she moved back to Israel. The region and culture she comes from continues to inspire and influence the way she lives and moves in the world. Mendel earned her BA in Dance Theater, including a teaching certification, in Tel Aviv before moving to NY in 2012 to complete her MFA in Dance at Sarah Lawrence College. Mendel has the pleasure of collaborating with many different artists while continue making her own work, focusing on the emotional and physical body. Mendel is deeply engaged within the Dance for Parkinson community and other diverse populations and works both as a teaching artist with the Mark Morris Dance for Parkinson Group as well as in private settings. Since the end of 2018 she enjoys taking care of little Soly, her son.
