Jackie Bernard hails from the state of Rhode Island where she received her early dance and theatrical training. After earning her degree in Nursing and Psychology, Jackie combined her love of the arts and dance with her career as a Behavioral Health Nurse at Saint Vincent’s Hospital in NYC. There, she taught a professional tap dance class for clients with mental health challenges.

Jackie has taught Ballet and Tap to both children and adults and performed with, and choreographed for, the Brooklyn Heights Players. Currently, she is active as a teaching artist and volunteer for the Dance for PD® program and teaches Senior classes as part of the Mark Morris Dance Group’s Community Education and Outreach initiative where she shares her knowledge and love of dance with those who seek its joy.
