Learn moreWhat's the difference between training and certification?
It takes more than a few courses to learn to lead Dance for PD classes. So we divide our process into clear training steps. Most people start teaching after completing the online course and introductory workshop. Certification is a capstone process, available to teachers who have completed 50 hours of training and 50 hours of teaching.
Learn moreHow much does training cost?
Each step has its own cost, but generally the introductory training process (2 courses) is around $500, professional development is $15 per credit hour, and certification is a one-time fee of $1,500.
Start trainingDo you offer financial aid?
The Stanley J. Wertheimer Fellowship offers full tuition support of the introductory training process. Other aid is considered on a case by case basis.
Learn about the fellowshipWhen can I call my class Dance for PD?
Teachers who have completed our full 5-step certification process are licensed to use the Dance for PD registered trademark. Teachers who've trained but are not yet certified can refer to Dance for PD but should call their class by another title.
